Location. The Southmoreland on the Plaza Bed & Breakfast is located in Kansas City, Mo., two blocks from the Country Club Plaza, a historic arts, shopping and entertainment district. More than 180 shops and restaurants, the J.C. Nicols Fountain and the Seville Tower are offered at the plaza. The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is one block away. The Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art and the Kansas City Art Institute are four blocks from the property. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fountain is less than one mile from the inn, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City is less than four miles away.

The Ella and Jacob Loose room features an ornate iron bed and a private deck with a porch swing and views of the waterfall.
