- Ok, I have stayed at a few other casinos in the city, but felt like it was 1980 when we arrived here. The rooms even had a mildew smell, I guess it was the carpet. The food was not bad, but overpriced for what we got. We hung at the deck, but the band was a joke. We ended up going to the Hilton Beach Bar and had a good time there. We later went back to the room for showers but could not stand the smell in the room. We did complain earlier, and they did come up and spray air freshner. We went back to the deck at night to see if it was a better band, ok, we lasted 10min and left. Need I say more? We then went to the Disco there, OMG! I can't believe this is a Donald Trump casino, the MC kept praising the GM on his promotion, I guess Saturday night there is employee night there! A fight broke out and we were outta there. Not our cup of tea!
I will say, when we checked in, they were very pleasant and well mannerd employees. They were very informative on things to do there. Overall, we would not stay there again. « less

The bad part of our stay was the staff mainly ...noone seemed to know much ..ex. what time does the pool close? What time does the breakfast buffett open and close? With our package we had free breakfast and they forgot to give it to us so we had to call and return to the front desk. Some of the staff was friendly but the majority was very rude or/and cluless. Which for being a trump poperty shocked me. The casino we played quite abit and no luck machines were veeryyy tight.
But the most dissapointing thing brings me to why I am finally posting a review a year later. We wanted to plan a trip back to AC ..actually leaving next week. And since we left we havent recieved and comp rooms or any deals from the marina.Yet the Borgata which we only played at for 2 hours one night in 8/20009 sends us 2 free night for each month for the past year. So thtas where we will be staying. And the 2 hours we spent in the Borgata was some of the best tiem we had in AC. Plus not that I am a big drinker but at the Trump you pay for all drinks on the floor. The Borgata serves a variety of drink at NO CHARGE! Yes a cold bottle of bud served free as you sit and gamble away. Of course you should tip out of courtesy. But I am dissapointed as much time and money spent at the Trump Marina they offered nothing to get us to come back I even called to inquire. The Borgata won our stay this time. I will update how ourstay is at The Borgata.
Oh I forgot the worst part...We stayed Sunday and Monday night ..Monday we had my brother and sister in law come stay and meet us there. We were lookign for a good place to eat pref. of a buffett. Everything seemed to have closed it was almost 8pm. YOu ting AC would have places open later.Anyways we decided to go to Hooters uopstairs at the marina....HUGE MISTAKE. The place had maybe 10 custmoers at the most. Our waitress messed up our order ...toook her sweet time coming over to our tablefor everything . Seriously was the WORST rest. experience ever. She was soo rude and never again would I eat there ..I would rather starve. « less

- We stayed in a newly renovated room overlooking the marina. The room was well done with an updated motif. The beds were extremly comfortable pillowtops. I ordered more towels when we headed to the pool and a bag of towels was in the room when we returned an hour later. The pool deck is nice, but dated, along with the rest of the building. The casino is fun and funcitonal, not much nightlife to speak of. You can take a cab or jitney to the strip, but kind of a pain. It reminds me of the Rio in Vegas with the Borgata being the Palms - kind of second tier (though priced accordingly). I read about the thin walls and wrote it off as petty, but we definitely experienced this. A group of 3-4 middle-aged women were next door, extremely intoxicated, and clearly having a good time at 3AM. We could hear their conversations clearly (I suspect through a combination of the adjoining door and the walls.) We were dead tired an had a few drinks ourselves so we ended up crashing without it being a huge problem. I certainly could have called an complained, but I felt like our neigbors weren't really at fault -- they were in AC having a good time. The room didn't smell like smoke at all - to the contrary, the air was fresh and crisp. You can get free parking if you have a ONE card. On a side note the free buffet breakfast ends at 11:30 - hope you are an early riser. « less

the elevators are very far from the room
the small cramped room is not what i'd expect for the high price i paid ($350.00 a night)

- We spent Sunday and Monday, August 1st and 2nd. Check in was easy, the desk clerks were very helpful. Our 17th floor room had a view of the back bay and the room was clean but dated. Some of the goods - the casino wasn't very crowded and the 7th floor pool was really a nice place to spend the afternoon. Also, The Deck Bar by the Marina had a great band - everyone was up dancing and enjoying the weather. Bads: dated wallpaper and carpeting. But it was clean. It was a nice spot to spend a few days at the Shore. « less
