- We were pleased with the Santa Fe Suites, which was a short drive to Old Town Santa Fe.
The room was large enough to house a king size bed, couch, and coffee table. There was
also a kitchen area with full size refrigerator, dish washer, and stocked with dinner plates, silver ware and other kitchen supplies that came in handy. There is a large grocery store 1 minute away that we were able to buy some snacks, rotisserie chicken, etc. The employees were very helpful with maps and directions. Also included was a continental breakfast, and a computer in the lobby where we were able to print our boarding passes, check in bags, etc.
The rate was very reasonable, approx. $80 per night considering this was Indian Market Weekend in Santa Fe. The bed was average, but overall I would recommend Santa Fe Suites highly if you do not mind a small drive and want to save some money on rooms. « less

- I stayed at the hotel 8/18 - 8/24 but if there had been an opening elsewhere I would have changed. The tiny kitchenett was fully outfitted - no complaints there. The office staff was very friendly & helpful. However, the towels & washclothes were threadbare, some even had multiple holes in them. The pillows were just worn out & the spread was soiled. We were in the room one day when the maids came and after seeing the poor job they did, we put the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door and cleaned the room ourselves for the rest of our stay. « less

- Our extended family stayed for one night at Santa Fe Suites and I'm sure it will be our choice the next time we are in Santa Fe. We flew into ABQ and were driving to Colodado so we were not technically Santa Fe tourists - the short drive to the town center was not a problem and the hotel is very convenient to Museum Hill.
The grounds are very pleasant and the rooms are immaculate and comfortable. The kitchen was a real plus and I expect that the linens will be next on their extensive upgrading of the hotel. They were very clean but a bit thin.
By all means, check out the small Mexican restaurant in the adjacent shopping area. Wonderful home cooked food served by super friendly folks. « less

- It was VERY far from town.
You needed a cab or bus to get to town and the front desk did not have a current bus schedule. The bus ran every hour until 7pm.
After that you needed a cab.
The phone in my room never worked despite my complaining about it every day for a week.
The carpets were filthy.
I found the top to a whiskey bottle in my sheets on day 2. And it wasn't mine!!!!! « less

- This was my first experience using trip advisor to find hotels but I did it all along my trip to New Mexico. Every hotel was true to review! I loved Santa Fe Suites! Close to downtown but just outside (located in a plaza with a grocery store) and was like having a little apartment. The beds are not too comfortable but tolerable and I wished the pots & pans were updated! Great find for the price, clean, quiet and comfortable. I hope this review helps someone else! « less
