- Wonderful resort, but we had a sky light in our bedroom. I personally prefer not to wake up with the sunrise. We asked if the skylight could be covered. We were told the engineer would be notified. We asked several times with no response. It soon became our running joke for the 4 nights we stayed there. I instead learned how to sleep with a pillow on my head. Who wants a skylight you can not cover during the night??? « less

I am going to try to make a long story short. I will even start with the positive parts of the our stay.
Pros:
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
They provided a playpen/bassinet for my almost 3 month old son to sleep in. Through, it blocked one whole side of the bed after it was set up.
They provided a mad of the hotel grounds and marked the pool, spa, and restaurants.
They provided us a map of the Historic Plaza and suggested a great Sushi place to dine at.
There were snacks and refreshments in the Lobby when we got there to check in.
The mattress was one of the better hotel mattresses that we have slept on.
Cons:
This room was NOT worth the $125 we spent on it!
The photos of the pool and rooms were very deceptively taken. They were not at all as nice as the photos made them seem.
The room was tiny, only slightly larger then the queen sized bed. I have stayed in larger rooms for less at a Days Inn
The room was conditioned with, I believe, swamp coolers which do not work when it is humid
There were ants in our bathroom.
Our window was broken, while it opened with ease it would not close without my husband going outside to push it closed.
There was no lighting on the pathways through the grounds, so we did not feel comfortable walking after dark.
There was no lighting at the pool area, so swimming up to the 10pm closing time was not comfortable either.
There was no closet space, just a pseudo-antique armoire with hangers in it.
I believe that the room we stayed in and the rooms around it, may be used exclusively for PriceLine, and that type, of reservations. I do not see anyone paying the $400/night that was posted in the room as the going rate for this small almost run-down room. I hope that the rest of this "resort" is better then our room was. We will not be going back to this hotel and will hesitate before going to any other RockResort. « less

“Aggrevation not relaxation (at $728.92 for a single night)”

- I had stayed at the hotel in the past and it has gone downhill in service (none existed on this visit) and up in price - they wanted over $500.00 for a dingy 1970's motel style room (that looked stellar / completely different on the hotel website) that caused my 13 year old to exclaim "we would have gotten better value at a Hampton Inn".
If you want to feel as though RockResorts has their eye on how to overcharge the customer and never on hospitality - then this is a hotel for you.
I had so many things go wrong that I lost my sense of humor .... and did something I have never done at a hotel .... complained!!! They offered to take $200 off the ridiculous > $500 room rate but instead charged me an additional $200 --- the total bill for the dumpy room was $728.92 (no food or other charges)!!! It was impossible to find any employee who was well mannered knew what they were doing - but that is their standard for $728.92 a night!
I will steer clear of any RockResort hotel - they have lost sight of the customer - they know nothing about running a pleasant hotel or enticing a guest to return.
There are too many other better options in Santa Fe - simply don't waste your time or money here. « less

- My expectations where surpassed in so many levels.. The staff was simply amazing, very attentive and hospitable. The rooms where extremely clean and had such a romantic feel, Oh and the beds.. as if sleeping on a cloud. We also did a tour with the Art Curator of the property and it was great history about La Posada and spectacular art pieces from local artist that is spread out through the property. You will not be disappointed with your stay « less
