Location. Located in the historic Guadalupe Railyard district, the Hotel Santa Fe is six blocks from the San Miguel Mission and the New Mexico State Capitol. The shops and restaurants of the Santa Fe Plaza and Canyon Road are within seven blocks of the hotel. Within a one mile radius of the Hotel Santa Fe are the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, Palace of the Governors and the Santa Fe Convention Center. The hotel provides complimentary shuttle service within one mile, upon request.
Hotel Features. The Amaya restaurant and bar serves traditional Native American dishes with wild game and seafood, fireside cocktails and Native flute melodies. Specialties include Venison Osso Bucco and Roasted Squash Bisque. Conference rooms reflect the southwestern style of the hotel and seat up to 275. A business center is also on site. Sculptured outdoor gardens frame an outdoor pool and spa tub. The Santa Fe Massage room features holistic therapeutic massage and body treatments. Guest activities include storytelling with the hotel resident historian and educational lectures with America's top Native American authorities.

Guestrooms. Traditional Native American Artwork and décor adorn the 128 guestrooms at the Hotel Santa Fe. Rooms include stocked minibars, high-speed Internet access and premium cable television. Bedding features feather pillows and custom-made duvets. Select suites include butler service, separate living areas and balconies. Most rooms overlook the Rocky Mountains. Private baths feature designer toiletries and double-headed walk-in showers with built in benches.

Expert Tip. Throughout the hotel's Hacienda and three acres of land containing sculptures and totems, the Hotel Santa Fe features Native American art representing New Mexico's nineteen pueblos and other tribes across the nation. The hotel is the only Native American-owned hotel in the city.

We booked this hotel through Priceline (although did not bid on the price of the room) as we were traveling across the country and had a booked of number of our rooms online through Trip Advisor. This fact came up after 2 days at the hotel, after being spoken to rudely at check-in, later when asking for directions to Bandelier Monument. (Me: Would have know how long the drive is? Desk Manager: No, I wouldn't. Me: Is there a concierge would could help? Manager: Well, if you wouldn't interrupt me, I would tell you.) On the morning we checked out, our bill arrived under the door, and was confusing. Calling downstairs, a woman explained to me that "Since you had booked on Priceline, that's why your bill looks different. Actually this room is much more expensive." How much more? Apparently about $40 more than I had spent. In any event, I asked her if our getting the room through Priceline explained the rudeness we had encountered. She paused, and apologized. The hotel is nice, they offer free shuttles to different locations in the old town. The grounds are also lovely. But the rudeness? A reason we would never return, and recommend to others to find a different location in this friendly town. « less

The location is great--close to The Plaza. You can easily walk or take the shuttle to The Plaza.
The staff people working the front desk are efficient but not helpful or friendly. They act like they are doing you a real favor to answer a question.
The King room was adequate-however the location right off the parking lot was terrible. We were located right next to the door which was only locked at night--so not very secure at all.
The sleeping area and living area are adequate--however there was a blanket and a pillow placed on the bed that looked as if neither had been washed recently---that really had me concerned--it looked great---but not so clean!!
The toilet area is tiny---I am not a big person and I kept hitting my foot on the door when I was trying to exit the toilet/shower area---there is just no room at all in there---so a large person would not have a chance of getting in or out of that area for sure. The bathroom area looked as though the floor had not been recently cleaned---it was vacumned but not clean--also the walls next to the sink area looked as though someone had spit on them---really gross.
This is not a place where I would return..there are way too many choices when going to Santa Fe.
The hallway was littered with dirty dishes and broken glass that was never vacumned even after 4 days.
We did not try the Spa as we both thought the pricing was terribly high compared to other spas we have used. The pool area is so small that I was wondering why bother to even have one. « less
