Overview
Location. Occupying 22 acres in Taos, N.M., the Country Inn of Taos is just one mile from the Taos Plaza and the Taos Mountain Casino. Running behind this bed and breakfast is the Rio Pueblo de Taos, a small stream which runs from the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The 1000-year-old Native American community at Taos Pueblo is five miles from the bed and breakfast, and winter sports are within 20 miles at Taos Ski Valley. Summer adventurers will find opportunities for white-water rafting, canoeing, fishing and horseback riding.
Hotel Features. The Country Inn of Taos, fashioned in hacienda style from adobe brick, features Southwestern antiques, hand-carved furniture and kiva fireplaces throughout the inn. Common sitting areas, patios, and gardens provide ample venues for relaxation. Complimentary buffet breakfasts are provided each morning, and consist of fruit, yogurt, granola, and a hot entrée such as huevos rancheros or waffles.
