Academy House inn & Spa

The Mead-Tooker House, located in the village of Montgomery, N.Y., is nestled in the Hudson Valley and sits atop a hill on Clinton Street. The inn is in the center of the village, across the street from Village Hall. The village is home to nine antique shops, an auction hall, two restaurants and gift and chocolate shops. The inn is less than one mile from skiing at Iron Mountain.
This Colonial-style home, built in 1776, contains three houses joined together to form one large edifice. The inn includes two different entryways leading into the center hall, and an elegant staircase extending to the third floor. The parlor includes a fireplace and game table for guest’s use. Full, complimentary breakfasts, prepared with organic produce and meat, are served each morning in the dining room or on the stone patio overlooking the garden area. The inn serves afternoon tea and snacks per guest’s request. In-house massage therapy is available. Pets are not allowed.

All accommodations feature period décor and private bathrooms. Suites boast chandeliers, reading chairs and antique basins or soaking tubs. Accommodations are furnished with pillows and mattresses made from organic materials. Select accommodations feature either sleigh or four-poster beds.
