- We stayed at the Edison for six nights in July 2010. I was with a group of about 20, and I had a single room.
The rooms here are good for one thing ... sleeping. Otherwise, the rooms are small and outdated. But, it worked for me, as I was out in the city during the day and very rarely in the room. The AC in my room worked very well ... almost too well. I know some of my peers had trouble with their AC units though. My room was on the third floor, and I was surprised that I had no issues with street noise.
I appreciated the security at the elevators leading up to the rooms. The Cafe was excellent for breakfast. And the deli next door was very convenient, and the ice machine on the 2nd floor came in handy.
The only complaints I really have is that the bathroom was very small, and the lighting was awful. The shower was okay, but low pressure. Oh, and no free internet access. I believe it was $10 per 24-hours.
Overall, I would stay here again ... in fact, i'm planning another trip to NYC in December. All I'm really interested in is a place to sleep ... so as long as I can accomplish that comfortably, I'm happy. « less

- I have to say the location was excellent!! The staff was great we even had a up-grade when they new it was our anniversay. The rooms were small the bathroom were super small I am a petite so I cant imagine a person with an average hight. To tell you the truth it did not bother me that it was small, I was only going to be at the room to sleep. But the worst part was our sheets and pillow cases they were dirty or maybe it was stained, it even had hairs which were not ours cause we just got there. My opinion for room service is as soon as you see those sheets don't look clean ...that should go to the trash!!! It needs an up-grade. « less

- We booked this hotel based primarily on it's location - a stone's throw from Times Square. There was very little in the hotel in term of amenities and no food was included in the price, but given we only wanted a bed for the night and there was a great deli only next door it was a good hotel for what we wanted and needed. If you're after luxury accommodation, this is not it. If you want an acceptable hotel in a great location? Hotel Edison every time « less
