Located in Midtown Manhattan between Times Square and Rockefeller Center, the Royalton, a Morgans Original broke ground for the concept hotel in New York City, 15 miles from La Guardia Airport. Rennovated in 2007 by New York design firm Roman and Williams, The Royalton, a Morgans Original's spectacular lobby stretches an entire block. A cast-bronze fireplace creates a warm glow in the hotel's lobby. The location is just off Fifth Avenue, less than two blocks from Madison Avenue's designer boutiques, and two blocks from the bright lights of Broadway.
Brasserie 44 offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests can enjoy drinks in the lobby or Bar 44. The kid-friendly hotel offers welcoming gifts to children and soft drinks or juice and popcorn. Parents also can receive board games and coloring books for their children. The Royalton, a Morgans Original offers valet parking, concierges, room service, business center, high speed wireless Internet and a fitness facility.
The hotel has 142 guestrooms. Rooms are reminiscent of cabins, with porthole windows and built-in storage. The rooms include wall-to-wall banquettes, minibars, deluxe bedding with Italian cotton linens, televisions, iPod docking stations and dual-line phones bedside and in the bathroom. Bathrooms feature slate and glass-walled showers or large, custom bathtubs.

- My husband and I stayed at the Royalton for a long weekend in August. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel welcome, being upgraded to a suite at reception. The staff are friendly and nothing seems too much trouble, they even sent champagne and strawberries to our room when they found out we were celebrating our Ruby wedding anniversary. The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is minutes from Times Square and walking distance to many major attractions. I would definitely recommend the Royalton and hope to stay there again another time. « less

- We stayed at the Royalton for 5 nights in mid August 2010, upon arrival we had seamless & friendly service. The rooms are modern and minamilistic and look exactly like the photos on the web. The location is excellent especially for those (like us) that had not been to NYC before (it is walking distance to all of the main attractions). I loved the lobby- it is more like a club lounge where locals come to have a drink after work, this gives the place a fantastic ambience when you walk in. Having a resident DJ just added to the vibe!
The bed is very comfy and the Korres products are devine. I also loved additions the Royalton offers in it's 'mini bar'- such as the Romance packages and things like Dream Water- so cute!!
The morning after we arrived we found that there was water trickling down the ceiling (from the Penthouse above- they must have left the bath running??!), the water progressively got worse within a few minutes. We rang the front desk and within minutes we were relocated and upgraded to a beautful suite. What amazing service. Management and staff were so responsive. We also received a lovely note and bowl of fruit from management- this was a lovely touch. For me, the way that management responded to the issue made all of the difference and shows that they are a cut above the rest.
The suite was amazing, we loved coming back and having a bath in the coolest tub I have ever seen after a long day of sight seeing.
We will be (& have already) recommended the Royalton to our friends who will be visiting NYC soon. After our stay at the Royalton we went to the Gansevoort in the Meatpacking District for 2 nights- this was a great idea as we got to experience 2 very different parts of NY in one trip. « less

- Absolutely LOVED my stay at The Royalton. We arrived at 9 am on Saturday and knew we couldn't check in until 3, so we wanted to check our bags with the hotel and then come back to check in. The front desk employee said that she could just check us in right then, so it worked out even better! All of the employees were incredibly nice and helpful, and the location just cannot be beat. I would stay here again in a second! Thanks so much The Royalton! « less

- My husband and I stayed at the Royalton for a week in May, I booked through ebookers and did get a really good deal , booking a basic room and emailing the hotel and getting an upgrade to a suite for no extra money. So the positives we were upgraded to a suite which was very nice, huge bed and 2 huge windows overlooking the street below with a huge settee running along the whole side of the room. There was a working fireplace(although we did need it and I can image it would really smell) and a desk and chair, but the really fab thing was the bathroom..... there was a 5 foot round soaking tub with a shower over it, tiny little silver tiles all round it made it look spectacular, is really did have the WOW factor. Now the negatives OMG how expensive $14 for a bottle of water in the room..... Now downstairs, the lobby and bar was lovely and very trendy and most evening had a DJ and seemed to be a hang out for the locals hip people. This is fine but is means that most the tables in the bar and lobby are usually reserved so if you are a guest of the hotel you have no chance of getting a seat and having a drink in the bar (that is of course if you can afford to buy a drink in the bar, cheap bottle of wine cost us about £60)!!!!! Even though we enjoyed our stay as the location was very good between 5th and 6th ave about 2 minute walk to times square, i am afraid in some ways this hotel is style over substance and that goes for the staff who came across as aloof and barely acknowledged our exsistance (clearly we were not cool enough)...... Having said all this New York is a fantastic place that I would go back to in a heart beat « less

Dear TracieEastYorkshire,
Thank you very much for your feedback. We love that you loved the swank rooms and plush surroundings; that tub is one of our favorite features as well!
I must say I am dismayed that you felt overlooked by our staff. Our team is a tapestry woven with people from all walks of life and we love that our guests are the same. Clearly we didn't make that personal connection with you that we strive for, and I'm so sorry to hear it! Please accept my apologies and my assurance that you mean everything to us. You are the reason we are here, and what makes what we do everday so very enjoyable. Please be assured we will use your feedback to correct our oversight.
Thank you again and perhaps we will see you back again sometime soon. We'll look forward to the opportunity...
Sincerely,
Gary Thomas
