The Cabin at Chimney Lake

The Cabin at Chimney Lake is located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains approximately four miles from Athens, Ohio. Strouds Run State Park offers camping, boating, trails, swimming and picnicking two miles from the property. Ohio University is five miles away. The Dairy Barn Southeastern Ohio Cultural Arts Center is eight miles from the cabin.
Nestled in the woods at the end of a private drive, this cabin overlooks a five-acre lake, which offers fishing, boating and swimming. Complimentary continental breakfasts are provided by The Big Chimney Baking Company down the road. Breakfasts are brought to the cabin each morning or are served on the patio at the bakery. The kitchen at the cabin is stocked with freshly-baked scones. The bakery specializes in European hearth breads and specialty cheeses. The cabin features a library with a fireplace. A full kitchen and an outdoor grill are available for guests’ use. The front porch, overlooking the lake, offers log furniture. Binoculars are available for birdwatching. Pets are not allowed at this property.

The Cabin at Chimney Lake is a three-bedroom log home offering individual rooms or the entire cabin for rent. Guestrooms are equipped with satellite television, DVD players, CD players and radios. All rooms include a coffee and tea bar, and a mini fridge. One room offers a private bathroom and two rooms share a bathroom.
