- Great helpful staff , clean rooms and very quiet, Black Bear Diner at location, pool is outdoors and in excellent shape, everything was clean and in good working order, breakfast is available at the hotel and it was as good as going to any restaurant.
Only complaint was that the A/C was a little noisy but not enough to keep you awake. « less

- Stayed at this property for one night with my wife and two small Children. Reserved a room with two queen beds and was upgraded to the larger Deluxe Queen room which had much more room.
This is your typical Red Lion Hotel. What sets this property apart from others is the outstanding people that work and take pride in the facility. It is an older hotel but it has been taken care of. Rooms have outside entry but wasn't bothered by noise outside.
Rooms were clean and in our case large enough for a roll-a-way with still plenty of room to get around.
Still have an old tube TV, but it takes time and $$$ to update properties like this. The Bed was typical Red Lion stock and a very good sleep.
The morning breakfast was great, although the room is a little small, they have over flow seating in the lobby. You can get good rates at this property through AAA or look for specials on their web site.
If I need to stay at any property in Bend again, this is where I will stay! Great Job Red Lion Bend! « less

- My wife and I stayed two nights at the start of a week long road trip. We've stayed with various other Red Lion properties (Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Spokane) and have had good experiences. This property is a deep "U" shape with one leg touching the street where the lobby is located and the bottom parallel to it. The Black Bear Diner sits at the front of the property and truncates the far side of the "U." Great Lobby, two stories high and open. Nice breakfast are and plenty of tables and seating between the lobby and the breakfast room right next door.
We arrived in the wee small hours of the morning, thanks to car trouble but we were greeted cheerfully and checked in quickly. This is an older property but the rooms have been updated very recently. Nice furnishings and bathroom. We had a king size bed and what a bed it was. It was the best bed we had all trip. What a relief. We will go back to Bend and when we do, we'll be at the Red Lion. « less

- Started out our Father/Son trip to Minnesota from California with a stay in the Red Lion in Bend, Oregon. My father (81 YOA) had just recently injured himself and needed assistance in walking and needed the use of a handicapped room. The Red Lion staff was very helpful in accommodating us. Check-in was fast and easy and the gentleman and the counter was very helpful. Our room met all of our needs and was very spacious. The restaurant next door was very convenient. My father was unable to get up in time for breakfast the next morning and we really were not expecting to be able to get anything when I was checking out. Not only was the staff more than eager to locate some some food for me get my father some breakfast, but they helped me deliver it to the vehicle for me. Wish there were more Red Lions to stay at on our trip. « less

- After a 6 hour drive, we were greeted by a smiling face and a "Happy you made it here." The check-in process was quick, efficient and friendly. She told us about the hotel amenities and asked why we were in town. She gave us some pointers on things to do and not to forget breakfast the next morning, where they'll be serving pancakes.
When we got into the room, we were amazed at how big the accommodations were. The room was clean and the bathroom was a nice surprise.....a big walk-in shower. We were ready to start our weekend, but forgot one thing, a wine opener. Not to worry, the front desk brought one to us right away.
The hotel was close to everything we needed. We really enjoyed our short time there. When traveling back to Bend, OR we will be staying at the Red Lion ABSOLUTELY! With all the other choices in the area, the service they provided surpasses our expectations. Great value and excellent service!
Thanks for a wonderful stay. « less
