Lightner Farmhouse B&B

The Lightner Farmhouse B&B is located in Gettysburg, Pa. Less than four miles from the property are a varied selection of historical attractions in the Gettysburg National Military Park. The Battlefield Military Museum features the Cyclorama, a 359’ by 27’ oil painting from 1884 that depicts the hopeless charge of the Confederate infantry led by General George Pickett. The Gettysburg National Cemetery is the final resting place of over 6,000 individuals who served their country in wars spanning from the Mexican-American War to the present.
This brick Federal- style home is located on 19 acres of rolling Gettysburg countryside. The inn is offers a porch with rockers that is often basked in the scent of the gardens. Original wide moldings, random-plank floors and four fireplaces decorate the farmhouse. The Victorian parlor is furnished with period antiques and features a library. Complimentary breakfasts are served every morning and include waffles, pancakes, or egg dishes. The signature breakfast dish is the Lightner’s Decadent French Toast, and consists of french toast stuffed with cream cheese and pineapple, and topped with fresh blueberry sauce. Complimentary beverages are always available. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the house. The common room features exposed oak beams, a brick floor and a large walk-in fireplace, and offers games, cable television and videos. Pets are not allowed at the property.
