Overview
Location. Black Duck Inn is situated in Newport, R.I., just across the street from the harbor front shops and restaurants of Bowen’s Wharf. The infamous Newport mansions, including The Elms, Rosecliff and Hunter House, are within walking distance starting at one half- mile away. Cultural attractions such as the Tennis Hall of Fame and the Museum of Newport History are less than one mile from the Black Duck Inn. Newport’s Cliff Walk, which passes many of the mansions and stretches along the Easton Bay and the Rhode Island Sound, can be accessed a little over one mile from the inn.
Hotel Features. Named for a 1929 "Rum Runner" vessel beloved by the local community, Black Duck Inn offers guests friendly personal service against a rich historical background. Intimate tables for two grace the breakfast room, where a continental breakfast is put out daily. Guests can often be found reclining in a large common sitting room. Side-street parking is free.
