Overview
Location. MountainTop Resorts-Douglas Lake is a secluded resort 14 miles from Dollywood in Sevierville, Tenn. Splendid views of the surrounding forests and farmland create a relaxing rural ambience, and the splendor of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is only 15 miles from the property. Within Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, both less than 20 miles away, visitors can find a dazzling selection of Vegas-style revues, arts and crafts, country souvenir shops and regional dining options. Recreational activities include hiking, biking, golfing, horseback riding and whitewater rafting.
Features. The property features rustic cabins on the shore of beautiful Douglas Lake. Conference space and a business center are available, and safe-deposit boxes are located at the front desk. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas and there is an activity center on site with a pool. Barbeque grills and laundry facilities are also located on the property.
Guestrooms. Each of the two-bedroom log cabins feature covered porches, jetted tubs, fireplaces and kitchens with refrigerators, microwave ovens, ranges, coffeemakers and cookware. Other amenities include cable television and DVD players and/or VCRs.
Expert Tip. Visitors to the area should check out Clingmans Dome, the second highest point east of the Mississippi and the highest in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. On a clear day views expand well over 100 miles and into seven states.
