Mt. Gainor Inn

Location. Mt. Gainor Inn is located approximately 12 miles outside of Dripping Springs, Texas, and 16 miles northwest of Wimberley, Texas in Texas Hill Country. Paved bicycle loops, ranging from 12 to 41 miles and traversing a variety of country back roads, begin right outside the inn’s front door. Fishing, hiking, picnicking and bird watching are available within 20 miles at the Blanco and Pedernales Falls State Parks.
Features. This 1911 farm house is positioned on 23 acres, and overlooks the large surrounding ranches. Complimentary continental breakfasts are served during the week, and full country breakfasts are offered on the weekends. Lunch and dinner are available for a fee. The decks of the house are furnished with rockers, ceiling fans and conversation nooks. Behind a rock wall are landscaped gardens, a hammock and a patio table. An outdoor spa tub and in-room massages are available. Pets are not allowed at this property.

Guestrooms. Guestrooms at Mt. Gainor Inn are individually decorated and offer expansive views of the surrounding Texas country. Rooms feature private entrances and decks. All accommodations include private bathrooms, with select rooms offering jetted tubs. Televisions and DVD players are provided. The Garden Room features hill country views through large windows, and offers classic upholstered furniture and a four-poster bed.

Expert Tip. Pedernales Falls State Park, less than 12 miles from the inn, occupies 5211.7 acres along the banks of scenic Pedernales River and offers opportunities for camping, picnicking, hiking, river swimming, tubing, wading, mountain biking, fishing, bird watching and horseback riding.
