Mt Vernon Manor

Location. The Mt Vernon Manor is set in a wooded cul-de-sac in Mount Vernon, Va., three blocks from Riverside Park and the Mount Vernon Trail along the Potomac River. The manor is just outside the gates to George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate & Gardens less than one mile away. Old Town Alexandria is six miles from the property.
Features. This stately manor house is decorated in the style of a grand country estate. Complimentary breakfasts are served in the dining room and garden breakfast room, or at the walled garden patio if weather permits. The home features a Gallery Great Room with a fireplace, vaulted ceiling, two-story wall of windows and French doors that open onto the garden patio. Pets are not allowed at the property.

Expert Tip. Mount Vernon was the home of George and Martha Washington from 1759 to 1799. During that time, Washington expanded his plantation from 2,000 to 8,000 acres, and transformed the mansion house from six rooms to 21. Less than one mile away, guests can tour the Mansion and more than a dozen outbuildings, including the slave quarters, stables and greenhouse. The estate features four distinct gardens, the Forest Trail, and an 18th-century, four-acre working farm and gristmill.
