Anderson Creek Lodge

The Anderson Creek Lodge is located in Bellingham, Wash. Less than nine miles from the property is the Big Rock Garden, a two-and-one-half acre park nestled in a grove of evergreens which features over 35 permanent sculpture exhibits. The Whatcom Museum of History & Art is less than 11 miles from the inn, and showcases a collection of over 200,000 artifacts of regional importance and a vast photographic archive.
This Northwestern-style lodge is surrounded by towering pines and landscaped in front by a rough stone retaining wall and well-manicured shrubbery. The 35-acre property is crossed by hiking trails that lead through forests, alongside Anderson Creek and next to fields that are home to a dozen llamas. Full complimentary breakfasts are served every morning and include apple pancakes with real maple syrup. Lunch and dinner are also available for a fee. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available on the property. The lodge offers a private meeting center with vaulted wood ceilings and large windows on all four walls. The sitting room features a two story, 12-foot-wide glacial rock fireplace in a sunken seating area, a chaise lounge, and a group of love seats and a couch that overlook the llamas outside. A television with VCR and DVD players is available in the second sitting room. The deck behind the lodge offers a hot tub that overlooks the pine forests, north garden and the llama field. Pets are not allowed at this property.

Guestrooms at the Anderson Creek Lodge feature unique layouts, features and furnishings, and include ceramic tiled, private bathrooms. All rooms feature cable television. The San Juan Suite offers a private deck with six-person hot tub. A private entrance leads to the Cascade room which is accented by a brick fireplace, wood paneling and stained-glass accented windows. The Lake Whatcom Room features a vaulted ceiling and two wide windows that afford the room a sunny southern exposure. The Mt. Baker Room offers a private entrance and an eight-foot wide window. Rich cherry-wood and blue velvet accent the Juan de Fuca Room.
