Quentin Gunther Brings Dealer-first Perspective to ESA Board Leadership

A longtime advocate for independent security dealers, Gunther brings frontline industry insight and collaboration-focused leadership to the ESA Board

Quentin Gunther is bringing his dealer-first perspective to the Electronic Security Association (ESA) Board of Directors following his election as Associate Member Director. Gunther currently serves as Program Leader for Resideo’s First Alert Pro Premier Partner Program, where he works closely with independent security dealers across the U.S. and Canada to support business growth, technical education, and peer collaboration.

The ESA Board of Directors helps shape the association’s strategic direction and leadership initiatives for the electronic security and life safety industry. Gunther was officially elected following ESA’s 2026 member voting process and sworn in during the ESA Annual Meeting at ESX 2026 in Irving, Texas.

For Gunther, the appointment reflects more than just industry recognition – it represents an opportunity to continue advocating for the independent dealers and security professionals he works alongside every day.

“I’m energized by the opportunity to help shape the future of the security industry as a member of the ESA Board of Directors,” said Gunther. “ESA plays a critical role in bringing leaders together to elevate our profession. I look forward to working alongside my fellow industry leaders to advance education, innovation, mentorship, and leadership development across the industry.”

Gunther brings a unique perspective to the Board through his leadership of Resideo’s First Alert Pro Premier Partner Program, the company’s flagship dealer loyalty and enablement platform. The invitation-only program includes more than 350 dealer members across the U.S. and Canada and provides access to co-op advertising support, marketing resources, rebates, product discounts, and training opportunities designed to help independent security dealers strengthen customer relationships and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving security and smart home market.

“Leading the Premier Partners Program has given me the opportunity to work alongside independent dealers every day and gain valuable insight into what helps businesses thrive,” Gunther said. “The importance of education, innovation, and collaboration is evident in the success of our partners, and I look forward to bringing that perspective to the ESA Board as we work to strengthen and advance the industry.”

Through the Premier Partner Program, Gunther works closely with dealers navigating rapid changes in smart home technology, video security, fire and life safety solutions, and evolving customer expectations. That direct connection to dealers gives him firsthand insight into the operational, business, and technological challenges shaping the future of the security industry.

In addition to financial incentives and marketing support, the program emphasizes education, peer networking, and shared learning through opportunities such as Resideo’s annual CONNECT event, regional meetings, and training programs. These efforts are designed to help dealers exchange best practices, strengthen technical expertise, and identify new opportunities for business growth. Gunther believes those collaborative relationships will continue to play an important role as the security industry evolves.

“Strong partnerships and shared learning are critical to helping our industry move forward,” he said. “When dealers have access to the right tools, education, and support network, they are better positioned to grow their businesses and deliver exceptional experiences for their customers.”

As Gunther begins his term on the ESA Board, his appointment reflects Resideo’s continued commitment to supporting independent dealers, advancing industry collaboration, and helping security professionals adapt to an increasingly connected future.
