First Alert is America’s No. 1 Most Trusted and Reliable Fire Safety Brand

In May 2026, an online survey was conducted among 2,000 U.S. homeowners aged 18 and older to identify the No. 1 most trusted and reliable brand in fire safety.

Participants were asked:

  • "Which of the following is the No. 1 most trusted fire safety brand (e.g., smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide protection)? Select one."
  • "Which of the following is the No. 1 most reliable fire safety brand (e.g., smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide protection)? Select one."

Ten brands were listed, along with options for “other” and “none of the above.”

First Alert emerged as the No. 1 most trusted fire safety brand, and the No. 1 most reliable fire safety brand.
