John Stroup

Mr. Stroup became a partner at CD&R in 2024, having served as an Operating Advisor since 2021. Prior to this, Mr. Stroup served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission and security solutions, from 2005 to 2020 and as Belden’s Chairman from 2016 to 2020, after which he served as Executive Chairman of Belden from 2020 until May 2021. At Resideo, he is a member of the Compensation and Human Capital Management Committee.

Prior to joining Belden, Mr. Stroup was employed by Danaher Corporation, a manufacturer of process/environmental controls and tools and components. At Danaher, Mr. Stroup served as Vice President, Business Development and then was promoted to President of a division of Danaher’s Motion Group and later to Group Executive of the Motion Group.

Mr. Stroup currently serves on the board of directors of Crane NXT, Co. (formerly Crane Holdings, Co.) since 2020, and has been Crane NXT’s Chairman since 2023. Mr. Stroup previously served on the following boards of directors: Crane Company, from 2023 to 2024, Zurn Elkay Water Solutions, from 2008 to 2023, Tenneco Inc., from 2020 to 2022, Belden, Inc., from 2005 to 2021, and Regal Rexnord, from 2008 to 2023.
