The Greatest Pros Come Together at CONNECT 2019

For 30 years, Resideo has brought together its security dealers in an event now known as #ResideoConnect, which takes place Oct 24-27 in Phoenix. And while security has historically been the focus, this year’s event will focus on the four key networks of the home – air, water and energy, in addition to security. Due to this expanded focus, Resideo has invited security dealers, HVAC contractors, plumbers and electricians to attend.

This year’s theme – The Greatest Pros – underscores the importance of the professional to the connected home industry. Resideo is focused on offering products and services that help professionals deliver a safe, secure, efficient and comfortable home for their customers. Company leaders at the event from across the industry will share best practices with their counterparts through interactive sessions and a Partner and Innovation Showcase.

During the history of the event, two key principles have been consistent: life safety and community service

Since 1997, American TV and Radio Host Larry King has been giving out a Life Safety Award to first responders who play an important role in helping keep our communities safe. At the CONNECT 2018 event in Marco Island, Florida, Resideo and Larry King recognized the City of Marco Island, the Marco Island Police and Fire Departments, and the JW Marriott for their efforts to protect the community during 2017’s Hurricane Irma.

Community service also is core for many Resideo’s professional contractors and dealers who have deep ties to their communities. Five years ago, Resideo began hosting a service project as part of CONNECT, which gives the professionals an opportunity to network with others through a teambuilding activity while giving back. This year, more than 100 CONNECT attendees will assemble hygiene care kits for The American Red Cross to supply to victims of disaster in Arizona, New Mexico and El Paso.

In addition to educational sessions, more than 400 attendees will walk the Partner and Innovation Showcase to see the latest products and technologies from Resideo and CONNECT sponsors. Attendees also will have the opportunity to see the company’s home automation, comfort and security products running in the Resideo Tiny House, which was part of the company’s debut on the New York Stock Exchange nearly a year ago.
