Product Overview
Protects Against Two Threats
The First Alert SCO5 Battery-Operated Combination Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm features a photoelectric sensor that detects smoke most commonly produced by smoldering fires, providing sensitive detection while minimizing false alarms from cooking or shower steam. The electrochemical CO sensor detects carbon monoxide. Unique alarm sounds and indicator lights on the face of the detector distinguish a smoke warning from a carbon monoxide warning.
Battery-Operated for Convenience
The battery-operated combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarm installs in minutes. The detector requires two AA batteries, and features a chirp and indicator light to let you know when they need replacing. The combination alarm mounts easily to a ceiling or wall, and comes with pins to secure alarm to the base to prevent tampering.
Varying Frequency is Ideal for Hearing-Impaired
The alarm features a horn tone that has a lower and varying frequency. This makes the alarm easier to hear for the elderly and those with mild hearing loss. A one-touch button silences false alarms and allows you to test the battery-operated detector monthly.
